1 Samuel 7:13-14 So the Philistines were subdued and did not invade Israelite territory again. Throughout Samuel’s lifetime, the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines. The towns from Ekron to Gath that the Philistines had captured from Israel were restored to her, and Israel delivered the neighboring territory from the power of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.

Greetings to all readers in the most precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

On 21 July 2010, I was praying and suddenly I was led by the Holy Spirit to this particular text where not only the previously captured towns, but even the neighboring territories from the hand of their enemies were restored to Israelites. Let this message bring you peace and strength in the Lord.

‘Restoration’ means ‘giving back something which was lost.’ Now you may ask, ‘have we lost anything to restore? ‘God said to Adam in Genesis 2:17, “for when you eat of it, you will surely die.” The disobedience to the Word of God caused sin and when sin was conceived fully, it gave birth to death. Devil deceived Eve by saying that God had kept the good thing in secret and that he had not yet revealed it to them.… Devil was in fact jealous when he saw God blessing man and giving him power. So to get that power and authority, the devil deceived the woman saying that God had kept back something more great…He lured the woman to the place where God had forbidden to eat. Devil will lure your mind to the worldly desires and his only aim is to take what God has bestowed inside you. He doesn’t want your car, job or anything that belongs to you. He wants you. He is jealous of you. But God has given us the power to restore what we have lost….I am sad to see and hear about some christians. Even though they are redeemed from the bondage of sin and death, they are still under the umbrella of fear, confusion, doubting etc. Dear child of God … Is it the peace that you have lost?? Is it the future of your child??? Is it your blessings?? Let me encourage you today. Devil, while tempting Jesus in the wilderness, said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours.” But I read in John 19:30 Jesus saying “It is finished”. God, by sending his Son Christ Jesus, has restored what the Serpent had taken from the mankind…God has finished the work on the cross of Romans. For that, he did not even spare his only Son. Let me tell you, if God has restored us from the hand of Devil, do you think that devil can hold your blessings?? Do you think that he can hold your future?? The devil is a liar! Open your eyes, for today is the day of restoration for you and your family. Receive the word!

Even though the Israelites were redeemed from the Egyptian bondage, they were again pursed and subdued by Philistines, Amorites and many more cities. Why did that happen? God sent his servant Moses and broke the yoke of 430 years of bondage, but again the children of Israel were in the hands of their enemies, like Philistines and Amorites. This implies to us that even though we are redeemed from the bondage of sin and death, we are still in the state of uncertainty…We cannot blame God because God has finished his work by sending his Son Christ Jesus….so then where is the Problem???
Let us see what happened to Old Testament Israel. Then it will be easy for us to understand as to who are in the New Testament Israel. God sent 10 plagues to the land of Egypt, but those plagues did not redeem the children of God out the bondage.
We read in Exodus 12:3 -11 that when the Lamb was killed and the Israelites celebrated the Passover, they were out of their 430 years of bondage. So the relation with the Lamb will break the Yoke of bondage. This is very powerful. You must fix this in your heart. It is not the miracles that will break the yoke, but it is the relation with the Lamb that breaks the Yoke of Satan. Jesus said in Gospel of Mathew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” God wants us to learn from him and take his yoke upon us. The man who does these things will find rest in the soul.

Our God not only does miracles but he is also a Rabbi. He wants us to learn from him. He wants us to have relation with him. The Israelites were redeemed when they had relation with the Lamb. But when they forgot God and his ways, their enemies subdued them….This is so clear in our life. If we have a relation with God, if we abide under the shadow of the Almighty and if we dwell in the secret place of the Most High, then God will be our refuge, he will be our fortress; he will deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. A thousand may fall at our side, and ten thousand at our right hand but it
hall not come near us, No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near our dwelling…in the verses 14 of 91 psalms its says “ Because he has set his love upon Me, Therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name”. I want to ask myself, “Where I have set my love?” Is it on God or is it on the world?
When the Israelites set their love upon the Lamb, God delivered them. Let us not waver here and there, but let us set our love upon God…Devil wants to play with your mind. So set your mind in that High Place where he cannot reach it. Set your love upon God!!

Let us see where the Israelites had set their heart and why their enemies could overcome them. I would like to draw some points about how the Israelites restored their blessing for that I would suggest the reader to take the Bible and read these verses that is from 1 Samuel
7:3-11 .This is a very important topic. Many of us including me think that when we fast for 3 days and pray and cry before the Lord, then God will restore what we have lost…YES!! God will reply us when we fast and pray but before doing that, we must do certain things which will lead us to victory over the devil.

1 Samuel 7:3, ‘ And Samuel said to the whole house of Israel, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” So the Israelites put away their Baals and Ashtoreths, and
served the LORD only. Then Samuel said, “Assemble all Israel at Mizpah and I will intercede with the LORD for you.” When they had assembled at Mizpah, they drew water and poured it out before the LORD. On that day they fasted and there they confessed ,”We have sinned against the LORD.” And Samuel was leader of Israel at Mizpah. When
the Philistines heard that Israel had assembled at Mizpah, the rulers of the Philistines came up to attack them. And when the Israelites heard of it, they were afraid because of the Philistines. They said to Samuel, “Do not stop crying out to the LORD our God for us, that he may rescue us from the hand of the Philistines.” Then Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it up as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. He cried out to the LORD on Israel’s behalf, and the LORD answered him. While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the LORD
thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites. 11 The men of Israel rushed out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, slaughtering them along the way to a point below Beth Car.

I would like to draw some truths here from the above verses. Verse 3 is very important to understand.

1) Returning to the Lord with whole heart: You must have a repentant heart like the prodigal son, who realized about his Father’s house. Besides a repentant heart, you must have a will to return to the Father’s house. The prodigal Son got a new
life,….Peter once left all and went for fishing but he returned to the master,…David committed two big sins but he had a repentant heart and a will to return to the Lord for mercy,…the thief who was hanged on the cross with Jesus had a heart to return and he confessed his sin there on the cross…He was bearing the pain but he had a heart of
repentance…Is your pain more than that of the thief? When all these characters returned to Lord with their whole heart, God blessed them and used them mightily. I believe that had Judas Iscariot returned to Christ Jesus, he would also have received the Salvation. But instead of returning to Jesus, he went to the chief priest and elders. (Matt
27:3) He felt like returning but he did not return to the right place. No matter what you been through past months and years, if you choose to return to the Lord, he will forgive your sins Psalms 103:12, ‘as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.’ “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven. And whose sins are covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin”. So if God wants to restorewhat you have lost, you must return to the Lord, not with an incomplete heart but with
a whole heart and complete dedication.

2) Rid yourself from the evil: This is the second step which leads to restoration.Once you return to the Lord with you whole heart, then it is easy for you to be rid of the evil one and his thoughts. This is simple but many of us do not do this way. God does
not want to hear as to how and where you are messed up. Instead, he says, “come to me”… John 7: 37-39,’ On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” 39By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. God wants a personal relationship with us. So he is calling us unto him and when we do that, the
streams of living water will flow from us. Many think that getting rid of the worldly and evil thoughts is very difficult. So they put their own efforts to get rid of their evil ways, but remember, before trying to get rid of them, you must return to the Lord. James 4:7 says, ‘Submit yourself, then, to God. Resist the Devil and he will flee from you.’ Here,
the Israelites returned to the Lord and that enabled them to put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreth’s. Now do you know why the Devil has put his hands on your blessings and on your families? Because you haven’t put away the evil things from you. This is very important for restoration. Why did Laban pursue Jacob and his family? Because Rachel, the wife of Jacob had stolen the images that were with her father (Laban). Genesis 31:34 Now Rachel had taken the images and put them in the camel’s furniture and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not. If you are sitting on any belonging of the evil like Rachel, God is telling you to get rid of that
and if you fail to do that, then the spirit of Laban will not stop pursuing you. Now when Jacob left Laban, God blessed him. This is the reason why (Devil) is pursing the children of God, even though they are redeemed from the bondage. We must say Good Bye to
Laban, Good Bye Pharaoh. No child of God must keep anything of the devil’s belongings because if you do that, he will stay there demanding your blessings. An idle talk, an evil eye, evil thoughts, evil ways etc are all the works of flesh. Unless and until we do not get rid all these things from our life…no matter how many days you fast, how many years you pray, you will not restore what the devil has taken away from you.

3) Commit yourself to the Lord: This means to consecrate your life to the Lord.A person who has returned to the Lord and who has put away the evil from him must consecrate or commit himself to the Lord. God has never forsaken anyone who has
committed their life to him. The problem with this generation is that we have lot of commitments and so we run frantically to accomplish those commitments, and at the end we gained nothing. God wants us to commit ourselves fully unto him…I Samuel 3:1 And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli.Even though Samuel was sitting before the priest Eli, his commitment was towards Godhe
ministered unto the Lord. If you give tithes, you are giving to God, not the church or pastors. Your commitment must not be towards Pastors or Elders, Yea! Even though we sit before them, our ministry is to please God, not men. Again in Mark 8:34-35 “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.” Now you may think Oh! This is very hard. How can I deny myself and my parents, brothers and sisters? No No!! God does not want you to deny everyone and live a life of sanyasi in the caves and mountains. He wants you to love him more than you love your father and mother, brothers and sisters even yourself…If you Love God, you will Love everyone. This is basics, but powerful. When you commit to God and love him more than anyone, you are not actually denying your loved ones. At the same time, you love your loved ones with the love of God. God wants full commitment. A husband and a wife are committed to each other. The husband thinks that his wife should love him only and vice versa…If we are so concerned about this worldly love, then how much more committed we should be to the love of God which is everlasting.

4) Serve the Lord only: Without commitment, you cannot serve the Lord. Many of us want to serve the Lord, but before doing that you must commit yourself to the Lord. These 4 points are so interlinked that if you miss one you have missed everything. Matt 7:22-23, ‘Many will say to Me in that day, “Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in Your Name and done many wonders in your Name”? And then I will declare to then “I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice lawlessness”. These people have done great things. They prophesied and they have done many wonders but why God did not know them? In fact, they served the Lord but practiced lawlessness. They served the Lord but they were committed to the world. What did Jesus say to Martha? Martha was serving the Lord, but was committed to the kitchen…This is a sad part. Most of us are serving the
Lord but our commitments are towards the World. Matt 6:24 says “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. You cannot serve God and Money; you cannot serve God and the World….the Fourth reason why we are not able to restore our blessings is because we serve two masters. Serve the Lord only.

Did the Israelites do these four things??? Yes!! 1 Samuel 7:4, ‘so the children of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and served the Lord only. When they gathered in Mizpah and drew water and poured it before the Lord…this shows that they cried unto the lord and fasted that day saying “we have sinned against the Lord”’. Who must fast? The one who has returned to the Lord, the one who has got rid of the evil ways and committed his life to serve the Lord only must fast….. Many keep the fasting without doing these 4 things in their life…Do not think that when you starve for some days, God will restore your blessings. You must be aware that you have to do certain things which are very important for the restoration….And after doing these things, v.9 says, ‘ And Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord.’ They offered sacrifice to the Lord. Romans 12: 1 ‘ I Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service’. When the Israelites were offering to the Lord, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel, but the Lord thundered with a loud thunder upon the Philistines that day. So they were confused and were overcome before Israel. Devil with his army will draw near you when he sees that you are worshiping the Lord, but do not worry stay calm because the battle is for the Lord. And the Lord helped the Israelites to restore what they had lost and the Philistines were subdued. They did not come anymore into the territory of Israel. Israel restored all the cities which their enemies had taken away from them. Not only the old cities, but they got some new territories also ….God is not only going to restore what you have lost, but he will also add something new into your life …. Remember! We are serving a LIVING GOD. Receive the Word in the name of Jesus Christ.

God Bless you

Habakkuk 2:3 ‘for the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie, though it tarries, wait for it. Because it will surely come, it will not tarry.’

Greetings to all precious people in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Let grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Christ Jesus.

Holy Spirit tugged my heart with this message on 09 July 2010, and I believe that He will speak to you also through this article of THE LIVING RHEMA.

I believe most of the Christians know this passage very well because we all wait for the promise of God to be revealed in us. There are three kinds of people among us : 1) The people who have heard the promise 2) The people who are waiting for the fulfillment of the promise and 3) the people in whom the promised is already fulfilled. This passage is very important for us to understand few facts which are hidden, which will help us to attain the promise because the one who has promised is worthy to accomplish it. You must understand one truth today that there is a time gap or an appointed time for the revelation to be fulfilled. What is this appointed time ? This is the period between the point of time when you hear the promise till the point of time of fulfillment of the promise. If God has promised, he will accomplish it in his time. So you must wait for his time and not your time. Don’t set your time because your time is already set by God. If you carefully notice this passage, we can separate it into three folds. First, which says that at the end, the revelation will speak; (you don’t need to speak in between but it will speak). Second – it says that the revelation will not lie (because it came from the mouth of God and God cannot lie) and the Third most important point is that the revelation will tarry ; but it will surely come. Now you may say that you understood the first and second part but why does the revelation tarry? Why God cannot accomplish it faster? Most of the Christians have this question in their mind. The revelation tarries because of two reasons. Let me answer this by the Grace of God.

Reason # 1 Galatians 4 :1-2 ‘Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is a master of all but he is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the Father.’
So it is clear that the appointed time is set by God and he sets this waiting period so that we will be mature enough to receive the promise.
Illustration: Let us think for a while . A Father has 3 Big Companies. He will never make his 3 year old child, the manager of the company even though the child is the heir and master of that property. Those 3 companies belong to that child but he will receive it when he is mature. A student needs to wait for 1 year to get into the next level. A mother needs to wait for 9 months until the child is matured in the womb.

Likewise when we are mature enough to know the will of God, the love of God, the ways of God, the heart of God and wait upon our Heavenly Father patiently like the child waiting patiently under the guidance of his Father, we will surely receive the promise at the appointed time. The fulfillment of promise gets delayed, because God wants us to know his will and grow in him daily until we are matured.

Reason # 2 We are responsible for the delay in the fulfillment of the promise. I want to show you this through the Scriptures. The journey from Egypt to Canaan was only three days, but the Israelites took 40 years to reach Canaan. God was not responsible for this delay. The children of Israel murmured against God and his servant. They forgot the fact that when they grieved the heart of God, they were actually delaying the fulfillment of their promises. Why was there a delay in fulfillment of promise in Abraham’s life? Was God responsible for it ? Or was it both Abraham and Sarah who were responsible for it? Do not blame God when you see the manifestation of the promise getting delayed. Either God might be waiting for your maturity or else you yourself might be delaying it. Ask and search yourself.

John was banished to the isle of Patmos, not because he was a criminal, but for the Word of God and for the testimony of Christ Jesus. I thank God for those servants of God who are banished like criminals for the sake of the Word of God and for Christ Jesus- there reward is great. John was banished into the island of Patmos which was an open Jail and an open cemetery. Criminals in the Roman era were sent to this Island with no food and water, so that after some period of time, their corpses would fall on the ground and the eagles would eat them. If they escaped the eagles, the jackals with their sharp teeth would eat these criminals alive. Theologians believe that John was put into the boiling oil before he was banished to the Isle of Patmos…The apostles suffered a lot for Christ. They were stoned and put into flames of fire and boiling oil. They were shipwrecked and driven into wilderness without food and water for many months. I am sad that we cannot even tolerate when one of our family member mock us when we receive Jesus. I know a few believers who never say among their family members about their belief in Christ or their baptism. By doing this, they actually play hypocrisy. I would suggest them to read II Corinthians Chapter 11 . Moreover the scriptures says in Mathew 10:32-33, ‘ whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven and whoever denies Me before men, him will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. ‘ Let us not be ashamed! We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. The skull or the corpses might have told Apostle John that he would be the end of the ministry and that he would be like one of the corpses seen around. But John decided one thing, that he would not see the surroundings and that he would not murmur before God . Instead, he kneeled down in the presence of God. Now Revelation 1:10 says, ‘ I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day.’ This is what we also need to do. There were lots of things around John that he could murmur about, but he decided to kneel down before God and so, he was in spirit.See he was not disturbed by the atmosphere in Patmos because he was dining with Jesus Christ in spirit. This is powerful and touching.

Your surrounding may sound against your promise but if you decide to dine with Jesus, the waiting period will seem no more long. The things in the Patmos did not overcome the Man of God because he had decided to be in a different realm or movement…that he would be in spirit in the Lord’s Day….Soon after, he was taken up into Heaven and he wrote about the things to come….Yes indeed, the promise awaits the appointed time…John might have thought for a moment that he is in the end of the rope, but God was starting a ministry through him. You must understand today that during the waiting period, the circumstance will be against the promise. This is powerful. So write it in the tablet of your heart.

Moses was called to redeem the people of Israel. So here is the truth – the calling on you is not for you. But it is for the Children of God. God chose him for his purpose. God has chosen us for his purpose, not for our purpose. Moses, after 40 years of comfort life in the palace, saw one Hebrew and an Egyptian fighting with each other. He went and hit the Egyptian and buried him that day itself. But when God saw this he said that even though Moses loved the children of Israelites, he was not mature enough to lead them patiently. So he waited another 40 years feeding the flock…Forty years of feeding the flock was necessary for Moses to lead the people of Israel. He waited and at the appointed time he left the flock back in the desert and there, God appeared to him in the mountain of Horeb…God will give you the time to leave that job and take up the yoke of God. Even though he was not patient initially, after the bracket period God testified about Moses in Numbers 12:3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.). He was matured into that level and this is what God had planned for Moses.

We see Joseph in the Holy Bible, who saw 2 dreams which lead into hatred and matter of discussion. If you have a dream and a promise in your life, do not be amazed if your own people hate you…They hate you because of the promise. The devil hates you because you are a promised child. He hated Adam and Eve because he saw God’s blessings and promises on them. Soon they were caught up in deception and fell short of Glory, but God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son to this world, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but will have eternal life…yet to all who receive him, to those who believe his name he gave the right to become children of God. Joseph did not know initially that behind the dream of shining sun and shining stars, there was a pit of hatred, slavery and Jail. We all like to hear beautiful words of promise from God but remember – There will be bitter ways to teach you and accomplish that dream in you…God did not made Joseph a minister in one day. He needed to cross over the pit experience and the slave experience. He needed to be a bond servant in the house of Pothiper. He had to cross over the jail experience….When you see all these, you might say that Joseph was going down every day, away from the dream . But he was actually stepping up ahead day by day, nearer to the promise…When Joseph was cast into the pit, his 11 brothers were standing like upright sheaves and he was bowing down in the pit. The Devil might have told Joseph that his dream would not be fulfilled because he saw his sheaves upright while in the dream, the 11 sheaves were bowing down…During this bracket period, until the appointed time, you will face the situation contrary to the promise. Joseph was sold as slave but the promise was that he would be the master….but the great thing to notice is that Joseph did not murmur. He kept his patience and was silent because he knew that it was God who had promised him.

We, as a family was in a terrible condition in 2008 February. I lost my job and my parents had no visas. We could hear threats from around and we did not have a single penny to pay for our house rent and the loan. The only option for us was to leave this desert. We could feel that God was testing us. All our brethren left us. We three looked at each other and cried out in the presence of God. We fasted for 3 days….God spoke through one prophet in India, whom we had never met nor had heard about. The Holy Spirit through this anointed man, told us that we would be here in the desert for 5 years…Soon after that, within three months, all the three of us got the visas. God gave us room in this desert just like he opened the well, Rehoboth for Isaac .God enlarged our territories. See, if God is telling you to put down something, he wants you to pick up something greater. Oh! The ways of the Lord is awesome!!
As soon as we heard the promise that God would not let us go from this place, even though we had tears in our eyes, we were projecting towards the promise. You may be crying, but project your vision towards the promise. It will not tarry. It will surely come. What God has prepared for you, no one can take it…I said no one can take it , not even the devil …it is for you…you only.

May God bless you !!

Mark 6:52 “For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened”

Greetings to all readers in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Let Grace and Peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Christ Jesus.

I used to think people with hard hearts were God –haters or at the least people in rebellion to him. But I was wrong when I read and understood Mark chapter 6. We all know this incident about the terrible storm against the boat in the fourth watch. Disciples were in trouble and fighting for their lives. Yet there came Jesus walking on top of the very thing that was trying to kill them. Remember! Jesus is walking top of every waves you are going through. He is in full control.

I continue reading in Mark 6:51 which says “They were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered”. Why they were amazed because they saw Jesus walking on water but they shouldn’t be amazed because they have seen mightier miracle than this before. In the same chapter you will come across the feeding of five thousand people. They all have experience the miraculous hand of Jesus but why they were amazed this time when they saw Jesus walking on water? The answer is on v 52 for they considered not the miracle of the loaves; for their heart was hardened. Including me all of us believe that Jesus is healer, but we believe him as a healer of cancer, aids and tumor but when it comes to fever or small headache we don’t trust him rather we prefer taking medicine, please do not misunderstand tat I am against medicine but let me ask you is that because our heart is hardened ?If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll have to agree that there are certain areas of your life where you have a hard heart toward God.
God made us so that we can harden our hearts towards unwanted influences. It was meant to be a positive thing, but because we haven’t understood this,

In Old Testament we find Pharaoh who refused to let the children of Israel leave the land of Egypt. He refused and hardened his heart 15 times and we know what happened to him at last.
In mark 8:17-18 we can see in detail about the hard heart. “And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, why reason ye, because ye have no bread? Perceive ye not yet, neither understands? Have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? Having ears, hear ye not? And do ye not remember? We can find the characteristics of the hard heart. Let us see in points
1) Unable to perceive
2) Unable to understand
3) Unable to see
4) Unable to hear and 5) Unable to remember.
These are all speaking of paralyze stage or inabilities in the spiritual realm

The word paralyze in dictionary is to make unable to move or act. We are healthy outwardly but unfortunately paralyzed spirituality . Soul is made in our system that we could have a contact with God but due to sin the soul is in a paralyzed condition unable to move or unable to act , unable to hear the word of god. Why some of the so called Christians cannot act or move spiritually? We just can’t see spiritual truth or hear the lord speak to us. We cannot remember scriptures, some of the sisters they can remember the full story of TV programs, some brothers can even tell who won the Cricket world cup in 2007 but the same people cannot remember the scriptures…because they considered the TV programs and cricket matches more than the scriptures.

Whatever you consider, your heart becomes softened toward and whatever you fail to consider your heart becomes hardened to .Now this is simple but powerful when we read v.52 it says “For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened” . Disciples did not consider the miracle in fact they were more concerned about the situations which they were into. They lost their focus from the miracle which they have experienced before which resulted them to be amazed when they saw Jesus walking on water. They considered the situation so much that even they couldn’t recognized Jesus…they cried out saying Ghost !!
Dear Reader what you considering right now? Is it the Word or the world? It was not sin that caused the disciples’ hearts to be hard it was that they consider on things other than the miracle that Jesus performed.
I am not saying to drive your car by faith, but drive the car with eyes open and your brain working…but if we get into a situation where our physical knowledge and abilities won’t save our lives, we must be able to go beyond the natural and draw on the ability of supernatural. This was wrong with the disciples. They has just witnessed Jesus taking five small loaves of bread and two small fish and feeding an entire multitude , if they had kept their minds stayed on that miracle, they wouldn’t have been shocked or surprised to see JESUS walking on the water. Verses 45 says Jesus made his disciples to go before him, which we can understand tat Jesus compel them. Therefore, they didn’t get into the situation because of some fault of their part; they were under direct orders of master. Jesus was testing them but their heart was hardened because they did not consider the miracle which they have experienced in other words they consider carnal mind by believing the natural facts which led them to hardened their heart to believe the super natural things.

One of the benefits of understanding what causes hardheartedness is that you can reverse this process and use it to become hardened against the devil. That is absolutely true. You have the power to determine what your heart accepts or rejects. you cannot be tempted with something you cannot think. You won’t act in a way that you haven’t already considered in your mind. So, control your thoughts and you’ll control your actions. That’s simple but profound. Most people don’t operate that way

May God Bless you.

2 KINGS 2:14, ‘ He took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and struck the waters and said, “Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the waters, they were divided here and there; and Elisha crossed over.’

Greetings to all readers in the precious name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

20 June 2010, God spoke to me at 4 am; he bestowed me with this subject “Crossed Over”. Let the grace and power of our Lord Jesus Christ be showered unto you all by this article of The Living Rhema.

In a Christian life, there is always a barrier which we need to cross over with the help of the Holy Spirit. Now you may ask, is it necessary to cross over these barriers? Yes! It is quite essential for us to cross over these trials because our destiny is on the other side of the barrier… God has prepared the best plan for our life on the other side. Some mighty men, marked in the holy bible, have failed to cross these barriers in spite of their glorious beginning. These barriers are like humps on the road which makes the spiritual alacrity down. No child of god can cross over these barriers by his or her own vigor. The bible clearly states in John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever .” Without the anointment of the Holy Spirit, we cannot cross over these obstructions which come across daily in our Christian life. You must admit with me that each and every day we do face a new trial. And crossing these new trails constantly seems to be difficult. Remember! The barriers which you see ahead are not the end of your destiny but the almighty god wants to begin with you. God bestowed me with a phrase few days back and strengthened me by saying “you may think that you have failed but I have not failed on you”. Have you ever noticed a navigator installed in the car which directs us to move forward even though we are not in a pleasant aura ? Holy Spirit is like this navigator in our life which governs us by uttering each day “Keep going” when we declare “I am tired and lost”. Don’t make conclusive decisions about yourself but entrust it in the hands of the author and finisher of our faith- Lord Jesus Christ. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

Here in this verse, we see Elisha pursuing his master Elijah from the place called Gilgal to Jordan. Elisha was seeking the double anointment. That’s why in spite of his master’s disapproval, he still followed him. We are in an era where men do seek the treasures of the world more than the celestial hoard. However, Elisha was pursuing the double anointment from the lord rather than earthly possessions. He was not after money, renowned position, status but he was after something which would always keep him going – A Double Anointment from the lord.Your Money, Caliber and Character will never help you to cross over these hurdles. Your position in the society will not help you to cross over. All you need is the anointment of the Holy Spirit to cross over these obstructions. The world is at the end of its age and the kingdom of God is at hand. So to overcome every new trail which decelerates our spiritual life, you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Elisha waited and pursued the double anointment. The problem with this generation is that we do pursue to receive the Holy Spirit but we don’t wait patiently. Acts 2:1-4, ‘disciples waited for the promise and when that day was fully come, they were filled and the Holy Spirit sat on them.’ You must wait until the Holy Spirit sits on you. You must tarry for the day appointed by god. For instance, when a chicken’s egg is under the wings of its mother for 21 days, it will be no more an immature egg. Instead, it will be a living stock. In the initial stage of Elisha’s ministry, he had to cross over the river Jordan. I would like to encourage those who have a calling for the ministry that they need to cross over the barrier of reproach, shame, dishonor, persecution, trials, and temptations. Some of them feel that when they initially step into the ministry, they will have an attractive and pleasant time but I want to tell you the truth that assuredly they will receive blessings from the lord. But to receive the approbation, they need to cross over some hardships along the walk of life. Joseph saw a wonderful dream, but he had to cross over many hurdles which came along. Jesus said in Luke 9:62 “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.” I know some servants of god and even some believers who received Jesus Christ as their personal savior, but failed to cross these trials. They turned back and went on their own paths. Nobody knew Jesus Christ in his earlier stage of ministry. But in Luke 4: 1, ‘Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness ‘ and in verse 14 it is said, ‘Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.’ Jesus ‘crossed over’ this situation. He was filled with the Holy Spirit when he was led into wilderness but we do read in the passage that he returned back with the exhaustive power of Holy Spirit. The Power of Holy Spirit will manifest only when you are filled with the Spirit and when you are completely filled with the Holy Spirit, then only you can crossover.

Holy Spirit is a personality and he has the power, but unfortunately some of them only know his power. Many think that Holy Spirit is something which comes at the end of a song; some people think that Holy Spirit is found only inside the church and many think that Holy Spirit is something which ascends only when they worship the Lord. Totally wrong!!
Holy Spirit is not who comes only when you gather in a church. He is there even when you are alone. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, ‘Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?’ Here, Paul is addressing the Corinthian Church who knew only the power of the Holy Spirit and had failed to understand his personality. David in psalms 139:7 says, ‘Wither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from they presence?’ He knew the power and the personality of the Spirit of God. Let me tell you one truth which is powerful “The power of Holy Spirit will be manifested on you only when you know his personality”.

If you are person who knows only the power of the Holy Spirit, you cannot cross over the trials. You must acknowledge his personality that he is able to enable you to ‘cross over’. If God has raised Jesus Christ from the death, he is able to raise you from every circumstance you are into. Let the church know the personality and power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said in John 4:14, “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” See how clearly the scriptures explains us that the
Water (Holy Spirit) shall be in him like a well of water springing up. Holy Spirit in you must be like a well of water springing up like a fountain. This shows the fullness. If Elisha with the double anointment crossed over, then how much more will the New Testament Church cross over the trials, whom God has promised to fill with his Spirit as well of water.
In John 7:38 Jesus said, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” When the water (Holy Spirit) springs up within us, then this water will flow like rivers from us. Why many of us are not able to cross over the hardships ? It’s because the power of Holy Spirit is not filled in them like the water in well and hence, there is no overflow of the spirit of God. There is a warning bulb in my car which indicates the amount of fuel. If it is showing red, I must not drive. I must stop and wait until the tank is filled with the fuel. Like wise there is a warning bulb installed in your system, which will keep on indicating your need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That time you need to sit and wait upon the Lord so that the rivers of Living water may flow from you. What is this river of Living Water? Rivers are actually the fruit of the
Spirit of love, joy, peace, goodness, selfcontrol, longsuffering etc.

The devil and his minions are aiming their weapons against the church but the church has crossed over every hurdle till now and it will cross over in the coming days . Who is helping the church to cross over?? Not by might, not by strength but by the power of Holy Spirit.

Let us cross over every trial and suffering of this present time by the power of the Holy Spirit because our destiny is not in this world. Our crown of life is laid up above with OUR FATHER who is in heaven.
