1Peter 1:19 [redeemed]… with precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot
The two words, ’redemption’ and ‘precious’ has touched my heart. I’m inspired by the Holy Spirit to write to those who are still under the bondage and still struggling to find ways out.I have a full assurance in Christ that your life will not be the same after reading this…
Because you see, it’s not me who is writing all this, but the Spirit of God who is guiding me. I am just a pen, but the author is holding me tight to write it down….The word of God is powerful and living. It is sharper than any double edged sword as it pierces even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrows. It was all one word that provoked America to put atom bomb in Japan during the World War II … The words of men provokes, but the word of God heals. Words of men discourage, but the word of God encourages. Words of men leads to death, but the word of God gives life. Words of men can be changed, but the word of God never changes. Words of men are false, but the word of God is the truth. So believe in the word of God…
I was so excited when I found the exact meaning of ‘redemption’ …It means ‘to pay off’. I felt so good when I learnt that the wages of my sin was paid off by the blood of Jesus. Once I and my cousin went for a dinner. I came out of the restaurant, while my cousin paid the bill by using his credit card. I was confident that he had sufficient funds in his account. So I could believe that my bills could be paid off by his credit card …If I could put confidence on his credit card, which is at present, on the verge of collapsing, then how much more can I put my confidence in the blood of Jesus, who paid my bills of sin on the Calvary, which was too heavy…If I thank my cousin because he had paid my bill, how much more should I thank my Father who art in heaven, who gave his Son to redeem me…..A scientist once asked,” what is the greatest discovery ever done?” …He replied,” it is the sin”…And I thank Jesus who redeemed me through his blood from this greatest disease ever discovered , and took me out of this …
Yes, the blood donor saved my life
Medicine for Sin = Blood of Jesus
Location = Come to Calvary
Cost = Free
I thank god that when I came to know that I am not redeemed by any corruptible things like silver or gold, but I am redeemed by the blood …yes, the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
Why we were not redeemed by silver or gold ….??? Because, had that been true, it would have been easy for Satan to take us back from these perishable things. But Satan cannot come close and take back those who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, because it is precious, without blemish and without spot. Have you ever thought that it’s not only the blood of Jesus that is precious , but even His love , His word , His faithfulness, His knowledge and His kindness…Oh this reminds me of Song of Solomon, Chapter 5:9 and 10. The Shulamite says that her beloved is white and ruddy and chief among ten thousand …who is this shulamite and who is her beloved? It shows our relation with Jesus … Yes, our Jesus is precious and chief among ten thousand…
Once, Sadhu Sunder Singh was asked as to why he left his religion. He said that there are good authors, philosopher, writers, intellectuals’ mighty warriors in his religion, but he didn’t find a savior…
There is only one savior, and only through Him there is redemption of sins…
He is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Acts 4:12 ‘Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which one must be saved’.
In I Peter 1 : 19, it is written that we are redeemed by the precious blood of Christ as of lamb without blemish and without spot…Just before this verse, it is also written “….the one who called you is holy”. So let us meditate for a while on these two verses which includes my subject
“Redemption through the precious blood”. We know that the one who redeemed us is holy, unlike any other self proclaimed holy saints which you see around …But Jesus is totally different from all those holy saints around who lie that they are holy. I will prove you as to how they are liars. (Wolves among sheep). They are not at all worthy enough to be compared with my savior.
Jesus was born holy, lived holy and he is holy…Jesus said “I am alpha and omega, first and the last, who was and who is and who is to come”. He was there before the foundation of this world.
Let us see through the word of God itself:
Luke 1:35 …”holy one who is to be born will be called son of God.”
John 8:46 …”which of you convicts me of sin?”
Luke 23:47 ….”Certainly this was a righteous man.”
You need to take your bible and read these verses …The above mentioned three things tell us that Jesus was holy even before He was born…He lived a holy life when He was in the world and when He took his last breath also, he was righteous… Can you tell me any other name who was born like this?? That’s why it is written that the name of Jesus is above every other name.
Now let us see some of our saints who declare themselves to be holy and who were declared holy after their death… My Question is,’is any of the self proclaimed Saints holy from the birth??
I think they should read Psalms 51:5…are they living a Holy Life?? Then why can’t they make a bold statement like Jesus who said, “Which of you can convict me of sin?”…Is anyone out there can make such a statement??? Pope John Paul II, who passed away, has declared many people as holy. But after his death, he himself was proclaimed to be “holy”…
Now my question is, “Was he not holy while he was declaring others holy? Is that why he was declared holy after his death?”… Dear people, open your eyes!!
Jesus Christ is the only holy God and that’s why there is redemption of sin only through Him. How can anyone save me who himself is drowning? How can a blind lead a blind?
Only the blood without blemish and spot can save me and wash me. So, it was essential for God to send someone who is without blemish and spotless … (John 3:16) Through Jesus, I am saved and through Him, I got redemption from my sins. Blood of Jesus is precious because it has washed the sins of the sinners who had passed away. It washes away the sins of present time and will also wash away the sins of all sinners who are to be born… Calvary paid it all.
We buy precious things by paying the amount equivalent to that…So here we can see a balanced stage… That precious thing is balanced with the cost which is as equivalent…
For example: You cannot buy a diamond with the cost which you are giving for television.
The cost of diamond and the cost television is totally different.
But in the case of ‘Blood of Jesus’ it is totally different …The blood which is precious, bought us who are not at all precious….We were not precious due to sin, but Jesus bought us still…We didn’t love Him but He still loved us…Is there anyone out there who thinks that
he /she was not worthy to be in that place, but it was all the grace of God who put them in that position? You did not remember God but He was so mindful of you in every walk of your life.
Remember, He bought us not because we were precious; He chose to die for you and me because we were sinners and were under the bondage of darkness.
We were like lost sheep but the shepherd came searching for us because he was been mindful to us. And through his precious blood he gave us the right to be his children.
So, the precious blood redeemed us who were not precious by any nature. Now while we are redeemed through the blood of Jesus, we are not ordinary people like before. Now we are His chosen and precious children, saved from the death of sin.
I Peter 2: 9 and 10 says …”you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation.
His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of the darkness into the marvelous light…who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
We didn’t choose God but God chose us and made us His own people. We had not obtained mercy before when we were in darkness, but now we have obtained mercy.
Again in Ephesians 2: 14…”But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the Blood of Christ.” We were so far from our Father that it was impossible for any religion or anything or any man to remove this barrier .Without shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin…It doesn’t matter what we do, or how old our tradition is, or how great our family status is. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. Unless and until you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus died for your sins,
your sins are not forgiven, no matter what you do.
Psalms 32:1 says, “Blessed is he whose transgressions is forgiven, whose sin is covered’…Can anyone say ‘amen’ because their sins are covered? Thank you Jesus for your blood.
Romans 4:7 and 8 says,” Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven. And whose sins are covered .Blessed is the man to whom the lord shall not impute sin”… Are you a blood washed born again Christian? If not this is your day…Surrender yourself to Jesus Christ.
The blood of Jesus gave me the boldness to enter the Holiest which was banned for me before.
There was a great gulf between us and our Father in heaven, but through the blood of Jesus, I am bold to call my God … my Father…ABBA FATHER…Praise God! You need to praise Jesus.
So now I don’t call God as God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Rather, I call my creator as “my Father in Heaven “…yes” Abba Father”. It was the blood of lamb who gave me this privilege …Had it not been for the blood, I wouldn’t have taken the bible and preach the word…But the blood of Jesus drew me near and gave me the privilege to enter boldly into His presence.
He took me and separated me from my mother’s womb to proclaim the word to the poor, needy and to reach the unreached.
Gospel according to Mathew says that Adam was God’s created son and Jesus Christ was God only begotten Son. Through Adam, sin came to the world but through Jesus we got remission from sins…
Where Adam got me into, Jesus got me out of. Promise is only with the begotten Son.
The biggest mistake that silly Satan did was that he plotted to kill Jesus …He thought that when he would kill His body, he could triumph over victory. But the liar did not know that the life is in the blood. That silly Satan was actually giving his head down on the cross and Jesus bruised his head…
II Corinthians 15: 55 and 57 says, “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Like Samson who killed more enemies at his death, Jesus defeated Satan and all his fallen armies more at his death.
Revelation 12:10 and 11 …”and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb”…If you are not washed by the blood, you cannot overcome the Liar.
Let us not just sing this song but let us know the Lamb of God who cleanses the sin
Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb,
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean
Oh, be washed in the blood in the Lamb!
When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Pure and white in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright?
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Fellows, you may have good long experience in spiritual life, but God is not looking at your last month or last experience and the miracles which you been through. John 21:10 ‘Jesus asked Peter,” Bring some of the fish which you have just caught” ’. He is looking for something which you have right now, the faith which you have right now, not the faith of last month.
Remember the ten virgins. They all had oil initially but the bridegroom received only those five who had oil when he came, because “many are called by few are chosen.”
In Revelation 3: 4,” you have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life but I will confess his name before my father and before His angels.”
Jesus is calling you
Draw near to him and accept him has your personal Savior.
God bless you
